Hi. This is my first post and I have a new-to-me 2002 XJ8. There is one minor electrical problem that I have a question about. The radio does not work, but instead the message "phone" is displayed in the radio display at all times. Even when the car is off, the "phone" dispay stays on. I currently have the radio fuse pulled because it will drain the battery if left in place overnight. Anything that I can look into myself before going to the dealer? Thanks for any suggestions.

One other thing that I forgot to mention is that the back up sensor constantly beeps when in reverse even if theres nothing behind the car. Other than those two things the car works perfectly. Thanks.

Not sure about the radio...
One of your sensor is bad. Unplug the sensors till you find the bad one(plug is behind the bumper).
