04 & Up XJ8 vs. VDP, 05 LWB Only?

Ok, this might sound stupid but Im truely confused in these 2 differences in trim levels. I know the VDP is supposed to be a XJ8 with more luxury options but what are the exact differences in the 04's and ups? Ive seen XJ8s with what seems like more options (xenons,nav,alpine, heated seats, 18s) then some VDPs. Also did they only make LWB cars in 2005? it seems like thats all i see in that model year. I know for sure id want the SWB. Thanks as always!

Trim levels vary greatly between models just like other nanufacturers.
With choice I would get a SuperV8. That is about as loaded as it gets, but is lwb.
In 2004 they had VDP that was short wheel base, in 2005 all VDP were LWB I believe. XJR were all swb. As for options, most VDP were hid, nav etc. XJ8 was hit or miss what you got.
When you find one you are serious about, pm vin and I will look it up for you.

Yeah but pricey. I had one as an rav and drove it for a couple of weeks. Didnt want to give it back.

Thanks guys for your input...Its more of a long term planning it has kept bothering though as Ive been looking casually. As soon as the 7 series sells we are getting an A8. Around Christmas ill put my S type R for sale and take my time with it so i get the best price. I really want an XJR with the sepangs but if the the regular XJs are a much better deal like right now i might go for one of them first. After this summer I pray my s type r will be my 2nd car. I def would get the XJ8 with the "custom" style chrome 19"s from the super v8 though. I love the look of chrome wheels on the luxury models with the mesh grill and chrome mirror caps to compliment it. 

Genius, our Portfolio is like yours. The champagne cooler and the roof were only for the concept. Shame they didn't put it into creation cause that ride was sweet. What with the red mood lighting etc. Man I would have robbed a bank for that.

745 - why sell yourself short. Super V8 or Portfolio is the only way to go.

i find the portfolio is kinda unstable at 200km .. i had a super V8 up to 240km and it was still nice and smooth. little prop vibe but very impressive.

It is the tires on the Portfolio. I am not keen on the Dunlops. Even on the new K they suck. SuperV8 normally had those PZeros and they were smooth at high speed. I am not sure what 240km is, but had mine up to 155 and it just kinda wouldnt go any faster. I hate ECMs. It was capable of so much more. 

yeah i figured it was the dunlops but cudn't really say anything..  there was a ids patch that removed the rev limiter.. with a ecm  re-program.. but then 2 days later next patch came out.. someone made a boo boo
