I am considering purchasing a 1997 XK-8 w/ 55k miles. Are there any concerns (engine, trans, ect) w/ this model?

See if you can get a diagnostic test from a dealer or something before you buy the car. There could be problems you would not notice, such as the oxygen sensor or some other sensors.
These cars can have little problems that cost fortunes to repair, hopefully yours won't, especially with low miles, but it's best to have the car inspected by a jaguar dealer mechanic or something
