I am trying to diagnos my S-Type. I have hooked up an OBD scanner to it, but when I get into it, it asks me to input an access code. Does anybody know what this code is?

I know the 01 pretty well and never heard of a needed code to read codes. Sorry pal.

Give an idea of what the car is doing when you drive. Check engine light is readable from Generic scan tool, but descriptions of codes may only give you OBDII codes not factory. Also is helpful to know if V6 or V8.
