2009 XKR

I apologize in advance if this has been discussed and decided in another post or forum, but i did not see it so i decided to make a new post about it. Today i test drove and made my mind up that i want a XKR, this was easy because as soon as i got it off the lot i knew it had to be mine. When i asked the dealer when the new 2009 XKR would be in he had no clue all he knew (just by assumption) that the new 2009 XKR''s would not be in by the end of the year. Is this correct? If not, does anyone know when the 2009 XKR will be available to purchase?

 to the forum...........  can''t help with when the ''09''s will be in..........  however, I can tell you that I love my ''08 !!!!!!!!!!
 
bought it last November when it seemed like all the local dealers had them ...... which seemed like odd timing with the Chicago winter looming

Thanks MJA for the input, still looking for an answer, but i love to hear from people who actually drive this car instead of reading the reviews. I have been researching the XK since its first appearance and fell in love with it. The experience i had driving it had to be compared to the first time i drove my first (and only car) at age 16. So you say you bought your XKR in November of 2007 right, well this gives me some hope that the car will come out this year..though with teh portfolio coming out i wonder if Jaguar will let it try to sell first before introducing a new version.

    I love the XKR; I had an ''02 Porsche 996Turbo that I drove on weekends and an ''06 XK8 (I couldn''t find an xkr) ......  my xkr is a great combination of what I loved about both of those cars....
 
I just called my dealer; he said the ''09''s should hit the showrooms in Oct. and the Portfolio''s shortly after that.  let me know if you''re interested in placing an order; my dealer is great to work with.....

Thanks for the help MJA, that is odd that your dealer said the portfolio was coming out after october when i called a dealer up in Memphis and he said he could get me a Portfolio July 1st...oh well ill twiddle my thumbs until October. Thanks again for the info.

DavidMc..... ordered the 2009 XKR in mid-June from the dealer.  Delivery date is Sept 12th.

Richard: Has your dealer confirmed it will be the 500+HP?  That would be sweet if it is!
