Forum stickers!

Hi everyone,
                    I've just had a reply from Admin team re the forum stickers. Obviously there's a cost involved and they went down this route before cos everybody wanted them ...........and then........no one did!
Please add your name here if you would go for this idea Please bear in mind that they may not be free and there may be a small charge to help cover costs!

Great.....only problem is I reckon we'll need at least 50 or so otherwise they'll be way too expensive!

Instead of having to order 50, you could just post the design, and then people can indivdually get them made. It costs about 5 dollars around here which isnt really that much

That would be nice, but the forum admins should be able to make a little bit of money at least for getting stickers and shisniz!

You're right of course 04...........that is an option we can look at once we get a better idea of how the numbers are gonna stack up. I think we should give it a good 3-4 weeks to see how it finishes up, by then, everybody should have had a chance to have their say.
As for design, well, simple really..........I was thinking just a clear decal with white writing, approx 12" long x 1" high saying simply www.jaguarforums.com

As in advertising, we will be doing just that...which i'm all for it....and I'll be advertising, what do i get for it?

                   I hear what you're sayin and its all true.
The thing to bear in mind is though, that if it happened, it wouldn't be for the benefit of the forum ( yes, that would be a by product, and hopefully, increase membership, which wouldn't be a bad thing) it would be for our benefit.
Essentially the " Passin X's an wonderin" post scenario........lol
Anyway, as is stands at the moment, there doesn't seem to be too much interest, so we'll see.

I think the stickers are a fun idea for the community reason.  Back in the day I used to have a Jeep Wrangler and it was all about the "Jeep thing".  Jeep owners were all into their Jeeps and talking about them - like here.  The stickers are just a way of promoting a fun, car lovin' community.  I was excited to find this forum, myself..

Nobody would even know what those stickers mean unless there involved...I guess its like the Mason's symbol on the back of some cars.  Its not like its makin them money or increasing membership, its just a recognizable tool to show affiliation. 

At least its not a "BUSH FOR PRESIDENT" sticker, that would be offensive...LOL

Actually, I think that if Jaguar owners saw the link on the back of some of our cars, they would definetely hit it up when they came across a problem!  It's easy to remember: "JAGUARFORUMS.com" and doing anything to our cars is expensive!  I don't know about you guys, but I don't shit money. I assume most Jag owners must have something in the piggy bank, but I'm always trying to save a buck here and there.  Forums are just a way of finding the info you need to sometimes get the whip running better!

 
Agreed......I'm curious by nature, like most people. Thats why when I see a car like mine, I'm always looking, does he have this or that, how is it compared to mine.........its human nature.
So if I saw a car the same as mine with a sticker in the rear window......."Jagauarforums.com" I certainly know that at some point I'd be checking it out.

There really doesn't seem to much interest, so we'll leave it to flow freely through the forum and see if it comes back with any more that are interested or not.

Ok...How bout this...
Instead of a forum thing...how bout I get with some folks here and design something nice/sexy classy that we all can stick on our jags...say the side fender or door, that will not only look like it was part of the Jag, but it will complement it as well.....AND....if you weren't part of our group, you wouldn't know what it was or what it meant....BUT...for those of us that have it..Oh what the heck, you know what I mean...

It'll be like the secret society of jags, or secret society of X, or secret society of X-tra special.........or some sheet like that...hahahahaha

So, this way I won't feel like we are doing something FREE for our forum while they rake in money from the advertisements and in the process we are getting something that will separate us from the other forums and other jags...and if we do run into each other, we'll be like dude...and you'll be like sweeeeet, and i'll be like dude......and like sweeeet....

long read I know...think how I feel...I'm drinking beer, washing the beer down with my cold medicine and typing....geeez...oh and i can still see straight...except for that big pink floating elephant that is about to crash into my.......

 
There will of course be a secret handshake as well, so we can identify each other?.....
