Just got a 2001 XJ8L without a manual and need help in how to program the garage door buttons. Thanks for any help in advance...Doug

Odd place for this post. Maybe Admin can move it.
First hold down the two outside buttons for at least 30 seconds to clear the console.
Hold down the button you want to program on console and garage door opener together. Light will blink slowly then rapid. Once rapid should be programmed. If not you may have to push button on back of actually garage door opener (not remote) then do again.
