The wife was at the supermarket a few days ago. She called to tell me about an incident as she was leaving the car park......Goes like this.
She had just finished loading the car with the shopping and was walking round to the drivers door as this older man was walking past. He had a real good look at the X and said to her as he walked past. "Thats a beautiful car you have, you're so lucky, I'd love to own a car like that"
She was made up.......said to me.....If I could have afforded it I woulda gave him the keys and let him have it. He was a wee old man who looked as if he worked hard all his life and deserved a car like that.
I said.........right........you just took that too far. keep the bloody keys.......lol

As it happens, she does prefer the "stick" well, at least thats what she tells me....although I don't think she ever had the pleasure of Auto mode...lol

Yeah, I'm guilty of gawking at a few Jags. The X-type is a very beautiful car. Coupled with the Sport
body lines, and that's a sexy looking vehicle. Are there any differences in the drivetrain of the Sport package and regular?

First hey jim at least the old man was cool about it...i hate people that look at it and are like oh my taurus is better...or cheaper...or...
The best gawk I have ever gotten was this dude turning in a brand new audi! It was also right after Jim got his which made me feel even better! Man that look was priceless he was turning from a 5 lane road onto another 5 lane road and had time to look at the jag and only the jag!
And lastly since you all are stuck into the...ooops look how I stuck that in there or placed that in there! Ok ok now to answer ancientskirts question everyone ignored....
Ancientskirts: the drivetrain on the sport vs. regular I believe is the same. They both put out the same hp. The sport has a few things like different suspension, no chrome all paint, bigger better wheels, traction control comes stock and some more I can't remember. On the earlier models when the 2.5 liter was offered there was also a sport model and that had the same things over the regular x as the 3.0 model...make sense?
