Transmission Oil

I own a 1999 Jaguar XJ8. I can't find a way to check the transmission oil level. There is no dipstick underneath the hood. I am puzzled as i would like to make sure it is full. Also is there a certain mileage i should change the oil in the tranny?

There is no dipstick for the transmission for some odd reason. Based on your mileage, I would recommend doing a tranny fluid flush before it breaks down on you. . .like mine did. Check out MotorCars LTD for some good priced Esso fluid. Good luck!
