I have experienced a faulty trunk seal on my 2004 XJ8. The unfortunate result was water leaking into the fuse box in the trunk and a $4500 repair bill!!

there was a old bulletin for the seam under the rear window ... when the trunk is open you can see them... the seam wasn't sealed properly from the factory. and the leaked water into the trunk.
