Visors are $300 and not covered?

  I took my StR in to have the milage verified for the new instrument cluster they are putting in, which I've waited 5months for thus far. I pointed out the the maint. mgr that my visor didn't light up on the drivers side. He looked at it and told me instantly $300. I thought he was joking but he said Jaguar doesn't cover plastic parts such as visors.
  I called Jaguar and sure enough, they told me no and that they dont cover visors. If u buy a jaguar from a dealer, make sure everything works before you take it home!

May I ask why you waited 5 months for an instrument pack? I have never had to wait more than 3 days. I would talk to the service manager and tell him that you want him to pay for the visor because you had to wait so long for the pack. If he says no, wait until the pack is in and tell him you are going to slam him on his CSI. 

Did you check the bulb first...or did your service guy?  

If the visor is missing the plastic mirror cover, it will not light up. It is basically the switch. Select will not cover plastic trim or lighting (except HID lol) so unfortunately it will have to be paid for.

my passenger side cover fell off also. glad it defaults to OFF! i just predicted it wouldnt be covered. a quick fix would be great but $200 is better than retail. were do you get them jag_genius?

from my dealer.. i get anything for cheap.. depends on what but 40-60 % off usually..

$200 bucks for a visor...man guys i can get you visors with tvs and bulbs in them for not too much more than that shipped to you!
