Finally got one to match the interior.
Has the wood grain at 12 and 6 o'clock.
I should get this installed possibly later today or tomorrow.
Mother nature had not been very accomodatin this week.
We have been on generator at work for about 4.5 days.

install it yourself. it's easy. even easier if you have a pre-04 model with the controls on the sides of the wheel.

Plan on it.
Wife has the car now heheee.
Should be home later in the evening.
Everything is pretty much close to matching now.
Got CD in the ride finally. Took my wheels off due to weather, but they will go back on when spring comes around. I think I plan on triming the front fenders and see what I can do about the rear. Put the H&R springs and see how it looks then. Got to get some sport type shocks too at least.

do it. really makes the interior look more plush. my dad and uncle both have x's, but neither has the kit. they both want it :)

I like that steering wheel better than the one that came with the 02 models. I want that wheel, but without the wood.

I just happen to have that exact wheel sitting in my garage (all leather no wood). PM me if you are interested in it.

install is easy. not too sure about the controls as the plugs may be different. i'll find out and post here.

i guess i was right (thanks dave). the pre-2004 is a straight swap for the post-2004, but you will need a new airbag for the new wheel. that i do not have, just the wheel. pm me if interested.

was there ever a wood trimmed wheel with the smoked wood from the sport pack?
nineball

not sure what you mean by smoked wood, but they made a wood wheel to match every color there was of wood trim

Yeah I haven't seen the greener wood kit with the steering wheel wood...I wish, I love the greener wood but haven't seen a steering wheel with my wood on it...
Here's my color of wood...name of color escapes me...

Wow that was cheap but the expensive part is the airbag...and the cover unless those are one piece...kind of looked like the wood was eaten up though or something but not for sure...

Is it just black plastic without that wood over that control system in the middle??

Nineball, I need your help. Where did you get that wood kit by the fan controls? Is it hard to install. Is it expensive. I have a 04 jag x-type base wood trim.
