water leak

Hello All,
 
Me again with another daft question probably.
 
My 2000 XJ8 has leaked a small amount of water (about a quarter of a litre).
 
The manual says that the air con unit can dump out water, but I want to make sure where the air con unit is so I can make sure it is this and nothing more serious.
 
It's a right hand drive and if you look at the car side on (looking at the driver's side) the leak is about a foot in under the car and directly under the windscreen wiper.

If it is the air cond. the water would be clear and if it is coolant it will be green or orange, or at least have some color to it! Have you tried driving it with the air off to see if the water still appears ?
