Stephen Hawking Plays Evil Genius In New Jaguar F-PACE Commercial

We’ve all seen the “Good to Be Bad” Jaguar commercials pitting some of today’s finest British actors as nefarious, trying-to-take-over-the-world bad guys. Well, now they’ve actually cast someone with the brain power to make that happen: Stephen Hawking.

Yesterday, Hawking posted to his Facebook page the very entertaining F-PACE commercial below, which features the brilliant physicist as a big, bad baddie that even James Bond would fear. Along with the clip, Hawking also posted the following note:

“You all know me as Professor Stephen Hawking, the physicist wrestling with the great concepts of time and space. But there is another side to me that you may not know: Stephen Hawking the actor. I have always wanted to be in a movie playing the part of a typical British villain. And now, thanks to Jaguar my wish has come true. I am proud to present the premiere of the launch commercial for Jaguar’s first performance SUV, the new Jaguar F-PACE.”

Back in January of 2015, Hawking told Wired that his ideal role in Hollywood would be playing “a baddie in a James Bond film,” explaining that his computer generated voice and wheelchair would make him perfect for the part. Well, it’s not quite Spectre, but now, thanks to Jaguar and the new F-PACE, we can see that Professor Hawking was right. Per usual.
