1965 S type
Hi there,
I am trying to find out what make/model of radio was originally installed in my 1965 "S" type Jaguar.
A previous owner "butchered" the ashtray/radio woodwork, to install a radio/cassette player.
I have a replacement piece of woodwork, and hope to fit an appropriate "shell" of an original radio, but with modern innards.
Has anyone already done this, and can recommend a suitable piece of kit?
Richard.

There are many decent two knob old style radio's that have modern preamp outputs, MP3 inputs, Bluetooth, etc. Just get one of those and then run a decent two channel bi amp or 4 channel bi amp, run separates either in custom front kick panel enclosures or put them in the doors, then run long throw subs like JL audio 6" in the rear deck. You can hide all of those speakers with Porsche speaker carpet to match your interior.
