Default Hi NSW Jag owners

Just new to the forums.

We were invited by a fellow Jag owner.

Hope to be able to contribute wisely. I'm sure you will all tell me if I don't. LOL

Happy to help with any diesel related questions.

Cheers
Rob

Default Welcome Robert at Chip Tuning

Hello Robert . . . welcome aboard. I am sure you will have noted my interest in you joining from my posts in the S-Type forum. It will be great to have you dive into our somewhat rare diesel based discussions.

I have taken the liberty of adding you to our NSW&ACT Membership List - as per the Roll Call Sticky at the head of this regional section. Great to have you join us.

Best wishes,
Ken

Question please Ken: Do I just add my name to the roll call of the state I am in or the states that I will participate in the conversations on?

Hi Phil.

LOL. Gee ... ummmm.... thanks ... I think

Can you point me to the threads I should subscribe to so I can keep breast of what I have missed??

That would help lots .... see if I can't live up to that reputation somewhat.

OK Robert;

Answers to your questions . . . and in a carefully arranged order bearing no resemblance to the order you asked . . . confusing, eh?

Only necessary to have membership allotted to your primary address be that home or business. This is nothing formal Rob, not even mandatory. We just feel if helps balance the arms length anonymity most bring to an open forum (never including home addresses, and even phone # into PMs) . . . with the generally first name friendliness that most Aussies are most comfortable with. OK? So your membership here in NSW&ACT is probably most appropriate.

Now to some links to diesel topics . . .

Firstly, as you may have seen, there is a dedicated forum/section called <Diesel variants - All models>

Less than 20 threads so far this year worldwide, is not really a valid indicator of the volume of diesels produced and still running . . . but most of the "out of warranty" cars are likely to be the 4cylinder X-Types and will be sprinkled through the model specific X-Type Forum. To highlight some interest in Aus, I have added links to 2 specific threads <Diesel V6 remaps in Australia?> and <DPF+ EGR cutouts + remaps in Australia?>.

The first drew an extraordinarily helpful and very appreciated reply from [Cambo351], but then nothing else. The second and later attempt started some brief discussion. Gotta admit . . . while small in numbers, we don't give up easily and both [OzXFS] in Adelaide, then Phil [pmoore22] in Sydney have joined the fray . . . leading to your own discussions with Cameron, Jim (Admin) and subsequent appearance here. I do believe we are seeing greater numbers of 3L diesels appearing here in new XF Jaguars. Hot diggety . . . we may soon be able to remove those question marks from both our Aussie threads!

Anyway Rob, there's a bit to get you started.
I intend to contact you privately when time and good fortune prevail, but till then . . .
Best wishes,
Ken
