Default CB/UHF radios for runs

I was talking with the groups lead photographer (Sofi) today and she noted some photo opportunities that she missed as we dont have the technology to quickly arrange a stop during a run.

The local club I go on runs with usually has a couple of CBs , one in the lead car and one in the last car, just in case of breakdowns.

We love a new gadget to play with so we will get a pair, we also get the added bonus of hearing whatever nonsense goes on during the local runs. If one or two other regulars could buy a pair we would have some good coverage.

Benefits would be the ability to react to breakdowns, photo opps, toilet breaks and slowing down/speeding up/ or just generally stirring the lead driver.

A 1 watt set will give you pretty reliable cooms over a few kilometres. These are available from Supercheap and most of the other boy racer boutiques for between $50-$100 (or ebay I guess).
