We have about 45 members , most with multiple cars, so you never know who is turning up or what they will be driving until the initial cat herding at the starting point. It will be interesting to see what come out for Historic Winton :-)

He just has to keep going fast enough to blow the fur back. He has a long belted Oberleutnantfurher leather coat to go with it for the cold weather :-) When he gets out of the car I always feel like I am going to be asked for my papers.

Havent done one of these for a while. Here are some pics from the Christmas BBQ ( yes in November). See if you can pick the car worth more than all the others put together.

Yeah Steve,
I'm with Ken.
That Bentley was probably trailered in on one of those in the background of photo 8 (Mitsubishi).
Then again, if it failed to proceed, it was probably trailered home on one in any event?
Cheers,
Nigel

Well it was either the Bentley, the Ferrari or the club plated Porsche. I guess he went for comfort :-)

Yes, thats the way it goes at times.

Mine is in town getting its classic XJ6 window rust treated (or delayed a few years).

The bloke up front in the Merc has an XJ6 S3 like mine (except with a "real" motor) and an XJ40. So he turns up in the Merc (he has 8 cars and a bike!)

Numerous other XJs, 420s and one E Type in the club but all no shows on a perfect day. They must work for a living I guess.

You have eclectic reading habits, oh omnipotent one, I am surprised this thread came to your notice.

So did your reply.

I like to read threads/see photos of places I'm never likely to be able to visit.

Short video of cars on display in support of one of the members having an open day at a small winery. Tapas, wine, music and old cars, whats not to like?

Even snagged a Jag for Graham :-)

The weird little car between the 635 and the Mustang is the Morris I have been working on for the last 18 months or so.

That's better. No car club meeting is complete without at least one Jaguar.

Your project looks to be a Morris Major. The Australian climate certainly is kind to cars. Over here they rust away long before reaching fifty years old or more.

Yes, its completely solid rust wise, not bad at 57 and counting. Had one patch in a chassis rail at the front , likely from a bad repair, since fixed. Our cars generally get it pretty easy apart from summer heat. I normally get all my cars tinted, but doubt the Morry will get that luxury as it is kept under cover and wont venture out when its 30-40C :-)

So today we had a run to a nice lunch venue built into a golf club to meet up with the Jag Cub of Victoria. Some nice machinery there on the day :-)
