Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you will find it very useful when your car needs work or you feel the urge to tinker. I have saved a lot of time by doing quick searches , especially on the electricals which are a bit "special" on the older cars. Anyway enjoy, hope to meet up at some stage.

I guess you can add Hawken and Jagent to this list as active members , as they turned up to our initial run last month, unless you are looking for individuals to respond.

Hi Jay. I like your choice of cars, I have a 1970 XJ6, and a 1985 XJ6, and the best of all of them is a 1885 XJ6 Sovereign. All the very best. Terry

Hi to all the southerners! I have recently acquired a 2011 XF 3.0D S sedan in Polaris White. I luv the torque and can see myself with this vehicle for a long time. Like others, I too have posted an intro in the global intro topic.

Last vehicle was a Subaru Liberty 3.0R with a couple of mods. I am preparing her for sale. Had the car for 10 years as a daily driver. Good cars but they have trashed the look of the Liberty (big bland and boxy) so not interested.

The lines of the XF caught my eye and per chance had a Saturday to myself so I took one for a test drive. Say no more! Hook, line and sinker!!

I do enjoy cruising and I saw that the Vics just had one on the weekend of 08 Nov. The only weekend I was not available!!! In any case, when I saw the photos that were posted, I would have been embarrassed in that company. Some really nice and classic vehicles within this membership.

When I get over my embarrassment of having a modern vehicle in the company of the classics, I will join you for a cruise.... Ok, so I am over it! When is the next one?

Hi and welcome to the forum. Would be good to have a relatively current car in the group, sort of like completing the set. We have been part of Subaru clan since 2001, with a variety of models. They have been great cars for us, still have two in the family.

Next event is not yet scheduled. Chat at the winery table seemed to be along the lines of yes there will be a next one, probably a gap now to let Christmas, NY, worst of the heat pass and then probably something with a picnic theme as a change from pubs and restaurants. So we will be on the lookout for shady picnic grounds. There is no hierarchy , so if you have ideas for an event just float them on the regional page and we can see what works.

Cheers

G'day

Pete from Eltham here.
I intended to buy a modern classic by way of a 1996 MGRV8 early next year and had been doing some research for about 6 months into them .
The sourcing of one wasn't working out too well so I then moved on to looking around for a late 90's , XK8 convertible. There seems to be a few of those in good nick around.
I was happily going down the XK8 road when a mate told me about the XKR.
Bugger !!! I had an idea and a plan in place and had a budget in mind , and then I go start researching the XKR. Back to the drawing board as they say.
Oh well , looks like an XKR.
I reckon everyone should own and regularly drive at least one Supercar in their life
Wish me luck

Pete

Hi,
Scott from Brighton East here. I've been posting here for a couple of weeks but just discovered this sub thread - a bit slow on the uptake, I fear.
I've just become a very proud owner of an F Type R (having moved from an Audi RS5), which I picked up just before New Year.

I would be very interested to learn more about any local Vic owners groups or events if anyone has any suggestions.
Look forward to chatting further.
Cheers!

Hi Scott

Welcome to the forum. We had a couple of small events in the back half of 2014 and will be looking to organise something again once the kids are back at school and potential routes/destinations are less busy.

Hope you are enjoying the new toy

Cheers
