Saanich Car Show over on the Island April 12 2015
Hi, today we had our local show/sale/parts-swap, which went of without a hitch despite heavy rain forecasts for this weekend. My XJ40 was the only one in attendance so you should be able to spot it lurking around in several of the photos!
Anyway a great time had by all, lots to see and do, managed to swap an old Mk9 badge I had hanging around for a nice copy of Andrew Whyte's "XJ40 - Evolution of the species" and put away a really big hot-dog and loads of fried onions. The missus says I'm allowed that once a year!
Here's some shots of the day

Hey All,
We have a 1998 XK8 convertible with a LS1 swap done last spring. ooolala and the ponies!!!
We have 274,000km on the chassis. Front bushings are next and of course some tiddling to restore things like seat leather and mirror replacement but overall not much to do. Labour of love for sure eh.
Would love to go to a meet (April too early to cross the Coq) but hope for a future date.
If you are curious about the swap search for LS1 Conversion Chapter 1 in this forum.
I got this car for my wife in 2011 and we are keeping it until they pry the steering wheel from our cold dead hands. This is my wife's dream car and I love it too. Toying with getting an XJS convertible someday.
Love the Jaguar brand and have since I was a boy. Nice to have one, even better to drive it.

New Jaguar owner
Good afternoon
I have a new to me 1998 XK8 roadster. It has 30k Km red with tan top.
I'm looking forward to connecting with club members here on the West Coast.
I am a city driver here in downtown Vancouver, but don't hold that against me.
Is there a Victoria meet this year?
Thanks,
Graham

Seems like there are a few of us who may be interested for a get together of sorts. The weather will certainly be improving over the next few weeks, so for now lets keep in touch in this fashion and see if we can get serious for a bit of a drive. Harrison isn't a bad little drive…… Any suggestions are great.
