E-type issues
I stand to acquire a 1964 E-type coupe my father had restored about 10 years ago. He isn't able to get it out often to stretch it's legs so he is sending it to me in Colorado. It looks like shipping it here will be about $1200. The issues I have are:
- Is it going to have major problems adjusting to the altitude? I am at 6500 ft. above sea level, the car is at about 1700 ft. above sea level.
- Any way to increase the legroom. I'm 6'5" tall and I can drive the car, but I feel like a 10 lb. sausage in a 5 lb. case. It has the dropped floors, but I did not fold up the luggage separator to see if it has the scallops for the seats.
- Were is a good place to buy tires. I looked and his are about 10 years old and probably need to be changed out. The spare is even older in that it was manufactured in West Germany.
