Default New Jag getting a facelift

I'm a roadster fan and have been trolling Craigslist for a while. Wound up buying this 1973 last month. It only has 24K miles and has sat in a garage unused but well covered for 7 years. Got it to my shop (i have other toys) and after a few hours had it running. Sounds good but as soon as things pressured up it blew the steering rack seals. So I've bought a rebuilt rack from Coventry, and about $3K worth of parts. (belts, hoses, brakes-rebuild kits for the Master and Servo, cylinders, hoses, pads , carb rebuild kits and lots of engine electrical) and will spend some time over the holidays making it right. Have a son visiting so I'll have help. The goal is to get it inspected before new years! Anything else anyone can think of that typically needs replacing on a Series 3 Jag?

Thanks in advance!

Steve

A very nice XKE. A lot of work in a short period of time.

sounds like you covered the major stuff. However, what is the condition of the tires?

Watch to see that the cooling fans are cycling on and off properly. Not uncommon for otter switches and/or fan relays (on top if the radiator) to fail.
