Default issues with auto high beams

Issue with blinking, on for a second, off and nothing changes on the road? Seems to work poorly. Anybody else with this problem?

Yes, It seems overly sensitive to reflections from signs or any porch lights, and street lights to the point of being unusable. I noticed a loner Land Rover Discovery was similarly sensitive to porch lights and street lights but not nearly as bad.

Just want to mention the auto high beam on my 2013 MB SLK55 AMG worked flawlessly. Although, the car never put a smile on my face as wide as a Jaguar. It had a so called AMG speed shift transmission which was much slower than the ZF (non DCT) transmissions in our Jaguars. Sold the AMG last year and will buy a convertible Jaguar for this summer. Headlights that corner, directional steer and auto high beam make for a nice night time driving experience. The brightest headlights I ever noticed are on my family 2012 Volvo S80 platinum--super bright on high beam. It's hard to find a car that has the best of everything. One would thing Jaguar would have done a better job of the auto high beam.

Totally agree. The infotainment technology has been around for a long while now. The good news, they just yesterday rec'd the brand new F-Pace and a few other models software update, which is the "motherload" from what they tell me. Mine has been there (once again) since Tuesday AM, and the new download took 3 tries to get it done, but they accomplished it. Don't know the result yet, but fingers crossed that it at least impacts the "basics"! As you state, shame is that such wonderful cars and stupid things create the perception. Too bad.

The F Pace is the only auto high beam system that actually work in my area. My old 2014 Mercedes CLS550's auto high beam never turns on, I guess it doesn't get dark enough. In the F Pace, the auto high beam turns on in the darker areas in my neighborhood.
