Jaguar F-Pace crossover confirmed

I'm not crazy about the name but I admit I am looking forward to this vehicle. I was not a fan of SUV's or crossovers in years past but after picking up a `04 Discovery for my son last year I am starting to <gasp> get the appeal. The F (I can't even say it!) may be a nice replacement for my aging `98 Volvo wagon and current SUV/crossover choices are either too expensive or boring. Looking forward to it and maybe Jaguar will consider a name change to resemble their current nomenclature????

Thanks for the Tour de France photos Bellanca. This vehicle is looking better and better with each layer of camouflage that is lifted. Best-looking crossover in my opinion. I thought I read the US market may see this by summer 2016. It will be difficult to have the discipline to wait for an (hopefully) eventual "S" version as the model evolves.

So far I like the F-Pace, although I’m not sure about the name. Been looking for a replacement vehicle for my wife and want to learn more about it. She likes the Range Rover Evoque and Audi Q5 and we plan to look at the new Volvo XC90. I am not an SUV/crossover person and would prefer another sport luxury sedan, but the F-Pace may offer the car-like sportiness I want with the utility needs of my wife. Still a long way to the market, though, and I don’t know if we can wait that long. I have always been attracted to vehicles with exclusivity like my F-Type and have yet to see another one where I live. The F-Pace may be more popular but will probably not be an industry sales leader. That is okay with me as long as Jaguar can survive and the F-Pace is not priced into the stratosphere.
