Default Questions from an old time Jag owner...

Hi Group

Having owned 6 Jaguars, (2 presently) I am starting to look at the F-Pace for a potential purchase. I do have a few questions to ask. Appreciate any answers:

1) When does the ordering begin for the 2018s?

2) What have been the average ordering-to-delivery times for US deliveries?

3) Will Jaguar keep the 5 year warranty + free maintenance for the 2018s?

4) Please list your actual MPGs for the V6 and the V6-S models. I am surprised to see fairly low highway MPG numbers published. As loaners, I had driven the XF V6 + 8sp combo several times and my observed "Highway Only" MPG was actually very close to, or over, 30 MPG. I know the F-Pace is heavier, has a larger frontal area but, still does not account for the difference. BTW - I am looking to purchase the S model.

1) Weeks ago, at least for my dealer.
2) Looks like 12-16 weeks.
3) Ordered a 2017, changed to 2018, warranty and service plans remained the same.
4) Mine is a 20d, and haven't gotten it yet, so can't give my own numbers.. sorry.. Maybe others can chime in with real-world/first-hand-experience numbers for you.

4) as jboyle, we've got a 2.0d and got 44 MPG imperial 37 MPG US on long trip this past week. If you haven't test driven a diesel, try it. You might be surprised. And it costs $5k CDN less than the gasser.

Can you test drive both F-P and Velar and let us know your impressions?

Just back from a trip to South Florida. Drove there from Toronto in the FE. The overall round trip average mixed fuel economy was 10.3L/100Km = 22.8 mpg (US) = 27.4 mpg (Imperial). Best highway we saw was 9.1L/100km = 25.8 mpg (US = 31.0 mpg (Imperial) on roadways where speed limit was 55 MPH.

The vehicle was such a pleasure over the entire trip - so easy to drive comfortably and very confidence inspiring because of both great grip, and, all of the driving aids (adaptive LED lights, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise, Nav). All really helped in some VERY challenging rain and fog situations en route.

Two thumbs way up!!!

So, no AndroidAuto for 2018, perhaps 2019? Late to the game, just like Acura, when it comes to that, hard to believe luxury brands don't adopt that system while Hyundai has been doing it for a few years already.
