Default Amonite Gray - Rim Question?

Hello all
I have an Ammonite Gray F-Type R, and it is a beauty. I am thinking of the "cheapest" upgrade, rims for the car. I know this is in the eyes of the beholder, but would like some opinions on the following:

1. - Site where I could see the rims on the car (my color) and get a visualization.
2. - Anybody else make this change and to what end...."Pics please"
3. - Size of tires, i.e. front vs. back.....want the rim of course and the right size of tires.
4. - Thoughts on spacers....what have you done and the in's and out's of spacers.

Anything would help as I consider this. Not in a rush..., will make it my pre-spring project.

Thanks all, and have a great week.

Just cosmetic reasons? Going to black rims? Considered powercoating the rims you have now if so?

I do like the Gyrodynes a lot! Does anybody have pics of the "post" powder coated rims? Would love to see the result. I believe these with a "small" enhancement would look fantastic, but want to do just the right amount not to "overly" enhance, but not to "spend for no impact" as well.

Any pictures would be very helpful and thanks Unhingd for the input. I agree with you.

Jag Brian's car below. The Gyrodynes powercoated look great. Costs less than $100/wheel. Of course powercoating can be any color you wish and is comparable or even exceeds the durability of eom wheel paint. The only downside is the hassle/transport to get it done.

A powercoated wheel if curbed - scratched/damaged - is a little easier to touch up and repair than oem painted also.

A month after powdercoating use Opti-Coat or another treatment to make it simple and easy to hose off brake dust and dirt. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Optimum-Glos...977213&vxp=mtr

Be careful with any aftermarket wheels you consider. Cheap is not better, and could be very dangerous. They just aren't engineered to be strong or safe in the event of road debris or accidents.

Here's a set of black powder coated Gyros for sale on eBay:20" Jaguar F-Type R 20 Gyrodyne Diamond Turned Wheels Rims Factory OEM Black | eBay
At $2k, you'd be way ahead by getting your own powder coated.

The Jaguar website has a "configurator" where you can select colors and other visible options and get a 360 degree view. I had about five months to decide between my deposit and being able to place the order, and spent a lot of time looking at color and rim combinations. The most difficult part of the decision was between Ammonite Grey and Storm Grey. I hadn't seen either in person and on screen never looks the same, so I just picked one and hoped.

Are you looking for custom (aftermarket) wheels. If so their are a number of wheel manufacturers that have configurators, but in I don't recall the convertible as an option. Savini and Niche I believe both have them.

Man, some of those HRE wheels are bitchin'! I wonder how a bronze or copper would look on our F-types? Mine is Ammonite as well.
I've been drooling over their website this afternoon, but I think those wheels go for about 2k per corner.

Happy New Year!

Just to give you more perspectives, here's my Ammonite Grey S with Black 20" Tornadoes... I'm currently changing out the lug nuts for black (OEM ones are cheap and corrode easily - even in the south!)
