Default Polar Bear (Snow Cat) Run Anybody? 1/1/2017

Anybody up for a Mid-Atlantic New Years Day ride meeting up near York, PA for example around 9am or so for a lengthy drive and lunch half way through? (Assuming clear road surfaces, of course).

I know...not quite a Jaguar.

Wanna swing by the Philly area? What route are you planning?

Yep, it's a snow leopard.
Funny that I only just now finished watching episode 2 of Planet Earth II "Mountains" which featured snow leopards.
Also funny that I've only ever seen or touched snow once in my life, and I had to travel 1,500 miles for that!

Edit - and then I watched episode 3 "Jungles" and guess what, it had real jaguars in it!

You're actually closer to York than I am. I was thinking we can figure out the best route after we figure out who (and where) the interested parties are.

oh and if the weather is decent have I got a road for us all. Check out Falls Road from Hunt Valley up to Lineboro at the PA border. I run it every chance I get.

Yes, sir...that's the sort of drive I had in mind. If we have snow on the road, I'll just bring the Land Bruiser.

If you are up for a drive on New Years' Day, start adding your handle and city to the list below. Any Jag or 2 door GT/Sportscar is welcome. I'll use this info to try to lay out a route and lunch location.

Both the Land Cruiser and a Landrover Defender with the appropriate roof racks with tires, spare parts, tools and assorted goodies sounds right to me.

Yes, I'd love to have a beat up old Defender sitting in the driveway next to the FJ40.

Bumping this one up. Not sure yet what the weather may be but I haven't put mine in hibernation just yet.

Unhinged what's the game plan?

Scales. 7:00 dinner. (Just don't count on Judee, yes...that's how she spells it, being there). Followed by a spirited, triple-digit, midnight drive to L.L. Bean***. (No police escort this time, although I can't promise that either).

Any questions?

Give me a call so we can lay out a route.

Here's the lineup so far:
1MadCat - Lafayette Hill, PA
ShaunPA - Media, PA
Unhingd - Silver Spring MD
Mbourne - New Freedom, PA

All contingent on weather.

Add your name to this list if tempted.

(...and yes, Matt will be with us in spirit)
