Only 1 question. How the hell did you get it for a week? I assume it's free? (OK, 2 questions.)

I'm an automotive journalist and media loans in my area are for one week. (Plan B was sending Jaguar a GIANT muffin basket as a bribe. :-P)

What a machine! How do the CF brakes feel? Will they let you track the car?

With a base price of $127,940 - probably average of $140k? what justifies a price that high vs say a Vette? The fact that it has 17 more HP than an R and uglier bodywork and a tacky spoiler?

Sorry but when excellent examples of 2015 Rs can be found for $70k or 2016 Rs for $80k, who spends this kind of money for something 'a little better.'

If they would have improved the R, evolved it into the SVR with a mild price increase than maybe I could see it but if you could explain how/why this car is $35k more than a new R that would be informative. As far as being able to hit 200mph - fantastic and useless to the 99.9% of US purchasers.

Around town at low speeds, the brakes seem to have an on/off switch. You get to a certain point in the brake pedal's travel, then it feels as if you threw an anchor behind you. My head's bobbed forward quite a few times. I'll have to see how they behave after opening the car up and braking from higher speeds this weekend.

I'll have to check about the policy about tracking it, but the weather down here is supposed to be rainy all weekend, anyway. :-/

Surprised nobody has asked this.

Does the Meridian stereo work well, or does it exhibit the symptoms that many here have?

Do you really feel 4.5% difference in power between the SVR and the R?

It's really not the power but the refinment as a package. I could never get my XKR to feel this complete no matter what I did.
