I'm a new owner of a 2008 S type. The original Nav DVD is still in the DVD device. I want to update the system. I have seen several disks for sale on Ebay. My question is: does the same 2013-2014 disk work in all models or is there one specific to the 08 S type.

 

I bought an X type NAV DVD for my 2005 Jaguar XJR both were Denso so was hoping it would work however it did not. So there may be some level of commonality across models but not from X to XJ by the look of it.
Ended up buying an updated NAV DVD on Ebay for $50. The chap selling it listed it for an X type and I asked him whether he had one for an XJ and he said yes.
I had to buy the listed item however he shipped one that was compatible with my XJR and it was then the latest available. That was about 3-4 months ago.
