2002 X-Type CD Issue
When the CD button is pressed, the radio does not acknowledge there is a player in the trunk. This was noticed a week after a new battery was installed. The installer connected a battery charger (or something with 12 volts) to the fuse panel under the dash. He said this was to keep the car from loosing memory such as the time, radio stations, etc. The new battery was installed and everything seemed to be OK. That is, until my wife tried to play a CD. How can I re-establish talk between the head unit and the trunk unit?
Thanks

I had to take the CD holder in and out a couple times to get it to recognize it again.
Here is the thread I posted about the same issue. Read up and you may find you have a couple other things that aren't quite right after the battery change.
