OK I have now seen MANY clones out there...anyone have any experience or recommendations for any of the following? I'd like full IDS functionality.
Vxdiag VCX Nano OBD2 Diagnostic Tool for Land Rover Jaguar Diesel Gasoline Cars | eBay
Land Rover Jaguar Diagnostic Scanner Tool SRS ABS Brake Reset Icarsoft Lrii I930 | eBay
Mangoose Pro V139 for Jaguar and Land Rover Support till 2014 for JLR
I'm confused. I do have an XP laptop (32bit) to use and am familiar with getting stuff to install/work...but which one!
Thanks!!!

[QUOTE=Leaper_Man;1315921]OK I have now seen MANY clones out there...anyone have any experience or recommendations for any of the following? I'd like full IDS functionality.
I have the vcm rotunda. This device working like original VCM from dealership of Jaguar Land Rover with sdd 138 crack version and without authorization. I have a full functionality SDD,
but 2 year ago my Mangoose JLR was working with sdd 130 like a VCM Rotunda .The Mangoose JLR has a problem with reading to vehicle at this moment, and I don't know what can I do.

My old Mongoose died on me and I'm looking for a new one. I noticed on several Chinese suppliers sites that the Mongoose Pro is mentioned as being V142 and it seems to be technically different having more / better voltage protectors. They also mention JLR 1.37 not being able to do offline programming. Does anybody know if this newer Pro still works with the older V130 software?
More specific the old ones number SP116 and the new one 205 or 205b, anyone knows the difference between the last two?

I just received the new MongoosePro (clone) I ordered after my original Mongoose (non Pro) died on me. I asked the question if this version, which the seller calls 1.42, would work with the older SDD 1.31 version. I prefer to keep that version because it doesn't need patches or anything. Didn't get an answer but I thought it would.
The clone comes with 1 DVD with version 1.39 of the software (including Mongoose driver and stuff for Mazda and Ford). Also with 3 DVD's with the 1.42 version (including Mongoose driver and serial).
I deleted the old Mongoose driver from my VirtualBox with SDD V1.31.3 and installed the one from the 1.39 DVD and the SDD works fine again with the new MongoosePro.
The version I bought is also named Version SP205 by the seller.

original mongoose 64 bit driver wanted
Was there ever a 64 bit driver for the original mongoose?
If such an animal exists, I would like to acquire a copy.
On the other hand, is there confirmation that the 64 bit
driver for the later pro version will talk to an earlier
standard version without the firmware upgrade flash?

I have been successful installing SDD v134 and using it on my 2011 XJ, however, the only caveat is that before I use the program, I must remember to 'roll back' my laptop's date to sometime in 2012 (i have a .bat file that I run now), and turning off my internet connection.
If you send me a PM, I can give a link to where I have stored by v134 files on an ftp server.

Here are my version(s) of the Mongoose_JLR drivers I've collected over the years. I'm not sure which one I'm using, but you can try any of them if you'd like.
x86
x64
zip file with 32-bit and 64-bit (may or may not be same as above)

Dear all,
I have been using the Mongoose clones since two years now.
Supplier was Cheap auto OBDII diagnostic tools, scan tool for European car,obd scanner for UK car,car ecu programmer . I am using JLR 130 and 134 on a designated 8,9" Netbook and that's absolutely sufficient.
I bought all around 10 adapters from them to also provide friends with that functionality.
For the manufacturer codes
116 means Mongoose
205 means Mongoose Pro (B I guess is just a revision)
I have used them so far on my X308 (2001), on a X308 (1997), X100 (1999), X350 (2005), X400 (2001). So far they never failed.
For me it makes more sense to have a "handy" device for fault detection and/or programming.
But this, of course, is up to everyone himself and it could be from 8,9" to 14" as I tested here:
Best regards
André

I hope someone can help. I am reading through this thread.
I have a VM running XP pro 3. SDD loaded.
If I input a post 2005 it asks me to turn on ignition, as expected.
If I input a 2003 vin it asks if I want to launch legacy IDS. I say yes, I then get a small window and a ids screen, these both then disappear. And I'm left with the SDD screen.
Basically do I need to be connected to the car to launch IDS or should it launch then ask for a vehicle connection.
I'd like to make sure my system is correct while I'm waiting on my cable, any help greatly received.
Thanks
