IRS Calliper removal

IRS Calliper removal
Hi all
I have an MKII Jaguar axle in my AC Cobra
Surely I won't be the first to encounter this problem,
I'm trying to remove the callipers from my jag rear, the axle is out of the car now due to me being so frustrated but it hasn't helped
The calliper bolts will not come out as the disc stops them, the two big holes in the disc aren't quite big enough (you can see the bolt but its about 5mm off centre to the hole)
Surely I don't have to strip off the drive shafts, split the callipers and remove the disks???
Help please
Cheers

You have something out of the ordinary there. I have had rear calipers off a few Jags, including my 78 XJS, as I recall the upper caliper bolt came out completely, the other would unthread but could not come out of the caliper until I slid the caliper off the disc. You certainly shouldn't have to split the caliper.

I got my calipers out eventually but the access is dreadful. Shortened 5/8 socket thru the hole in disc for one bolt and narrow 5/8 spanner on the other bolt. I think the top bolt stayed in place until i slid caliper around disc to remove it. Access as i said was a major issue. It is not difficult just tedious as hell.
