Default name this grill

Hey Guys,

A friend was browsing through an antique shop and saw this Jag grill and though of me and how great it would look on my wall. The Proprietor did not know it's owner's date or model. The leaper on the top is black.
Hoping someone here might know. To me it looks like some mid 80's sedan?
Thanks for any help.

I agree that it looks like a series III but might be a series II.
The black 'logo' on the grill is NOT a leaper but referred to as a 'growler'.

Leapers 'LEAP'.

Full face growlers 'GROWL'.

Thanks Bob for the correction. Your reference (growler) makes more sense.

looks like a 3 to me, 1980-87, the 2 series were horizontal slats here in the commonwealth.
