X & S type build date/sheet
If your Jaguar was built under Ford ownership ..pop your VIN into the following Site ,
It should give you the date build started & a general build sheet as to what equipment was built into your car
Obviously it wont include anything dealer fit .
Mine stated it was equipped with a small steel spare wheel , in fact I have a full size alloy ??
THanks to the UK Jag site for web info

They generally do know for Fords at least - I tried a few.
I now tried a few jags and it knew none of them by reg, so Ford dealers must feed the regs into the database but not jag dealers back then.
So.... everyone use your VIN
BTW - works for USA car VINs as well (well, I tried S-Types).

Worked for my X350 XJR as well.
Except there are some errors in the specification, it says "with rear seat radio controls" which mine does not have, unless someone removed them (unlikely) and also "with mini aluminium spare wheel" but I had a full size 20" spare.
I did check the spec of this car a while back using an online version of the JEPC, and it was more accurate regarding the rear media & full-size spare. Unfortunately I don't have access with JEPC anymore so don't ask me to check yours

When 'emergency spare wheels' were first provided by Jaguar, they were very unpopular and complaints from sufficiently vocal buyers would often result in dealers providing a full size replacement. My 2001 X308 was an example where the original buyer (and only previous owner) was given a full size spare f.o.c. by Jaguar Liverpool.
It is also common to find a PO has substituted a full size spare (as I did on an X300 and an XK8).

I first tried with Reg ... But my cars original owner had personal plates fitted on first reg ...Ford would never know that ..so VIN is the way to go .
Mine also stated no spoiler& doent mention Limited edition , but mine has a large rear spoiler & body kit ( LE Spirit model .probably dealer fit )
