This isn't a good deal is it? Mileage is high , seems like a pretty uncertain deal to me. ?? Reserve not met at $16,100.00
Better deals can be found, I think? Totally new to this market so just asking.

that car looks in excellent condition, high mileage is to be expected in any car from 1960, mileage should be the least of your worries, a Jaguar MK-2 in that preserved condition is valued in the range of $25-$35 thousand buckaroos if not $40 to $45 grand. I've seen a few showroom-condition examples of the MK-2 selling for $60 grand in Miami.

sure you can find better deals, there's one for sale for $1,500. dollars in Orlando, but it's a heap of rust, good for some parts. And if you want to restore one of these, expect to spend in the range of $60 grand for a total of $61,500.00. The interior alone will cost around $8,000 to fully restore.

for 9 years I searched for a similar condition 1960's S type and I finally found one in San Francisco, I had to pay the asking price, the owner would not budge. He showed me written offers, he rejected all of them, so I put a cash deposit down and went back home to raise the money. NOTE: only 24 thousand Jaguar S type models were made between 1963 and 1968, and 80% of those have by now dissapeared, whether by fire, crash, parting-out, etc., there just wasn't room for haggling. Sometimes you just have to pay the price for a choice-condition classic car.

Default Nada

I think these NADA prices are highly inflated, esp for a sedan.

There are some perfectly restored cars in magnificent condition for $35k. This car is halfway to those IMHO. Keep looking to get a level. Original condition means rust. Rust on everything. It doesn't mean you can't get rid of it. The car doesn't need upholstery, but it needs plenty else. Will this engine go 200k like today's engines?
