time for new tyres
Hi everybody. This is my first post, as I have joined only moments ago. I own a 1965 mk2 3.8 and its time for new tyres. I was keen to put Pirelli Cinturato 185/R/15's on but it appears that they are not available in Australia So I am asking for ideas on the best tyres to suit my car.

Hello John, welcome to the forum.
Here's a thread that I started with some information that may be helpful.

58mk1x2 lives in Australia _ may be if you send him a PM he might be able to help.

There is always xks.com, but it would cost a small fortune to send them half way around the planet and I don't think they're Pirelli.
VT-185HR15 - Vredestein Tire
Wow !!!! are those Pirelli tires ever expensive, I couldn't find a Canadian supplier and Google just brought up sellers from the UK at 277pounds excluding vat !
That's 2089.48 after the exchange into Canadian currency and I haven't even figured the shipping and the taxes yet !

My Mk2 came with 185/80 Michelin on the front and Hankook on the back. Both have no problem with clearance.
I can't tell you where they were purchased but must have come from Aus.
Unfortunately neither will fit in place of the spare. (can anyone suggest something that will? as the old Olympic is older than me.)
