A Bit Different Than All of You...
Hi everyone! So I'm not sure if you'll all be super okay with this or not, but here it goes- I don't have a Jaguar, and up until recently I hadn't even given any of them a look. I've always been a Volkswagen Group enthusiast, and I still am. However, I am totally interested in branching out and experiencing more than just the six Volkswagen brands. I love nearly everything about every Jaguar, which is rare for me. I'm a particularly huge fan of the S-Type and X-Type. I have a Reflex Silver MK4 Volkswagen Golf, and I love it. In the garage there's also a Candy White MK7 Volkswagen GTI, an Estoril Blue F30 BMW 328i xDrive M-Sport, and a Grabber Blue 2014 Ford Mustang. A good lineup, and I love them all- but I've never driven, owned, or even really ridden in a Jag. I love the way they look and I've heard so much good about them. I'm heading off to college soon, so I don't see one in my near future, but I hope to certainly have one in addition to my VW products when I'm a little older With that said, I want to learn everything I can about Jaguars. I want to know what ones you hate, what ones you love, which ones are failures and which ones are successes. For example, everyone in the Volkswagen community hates the Routan (myself included). I'm guessing for you guys it's the X-Type, but I sure hope I'm wrong. Haha. Aaaaaaanyway, I'll attach some pictures of my car just for the heck of it, and because the intro thing suggested it. Thank you for taking the time to read this and bearing with me!

Welcome to the forum Colin,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
Go for a ride in a Jaguar, any Jaguar - it's a different World!
The X-Type got a bad press when it was released and the reputation has stuck but we a have a loyal and enthusiastic group of owners here.
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum and this one S-Type / S type R Supercharged V8 ( X200 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of each is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Welcome Colin. You must have been bitten while you weren't looking. The first Jaguar I was inspired by was a Series 3 xj6 that a friend drove to school. I still admire that shape, but the xj40 has become my favorite since one dropped in my lap. I told my dad I had found it and I remember him saying "If your first car is a Jaguar, your second had better be a wrecker." I laughed, and still do.
