Thumbs up Deloreans to Jaguars

OK y'all, I might be nuts but I just ordered a 2006 XK8 after doing some heavy research on all the years. I'm very excited to get this car, and shamefully admit I ordered from out of state but noticed that one of the members here had it for sale last summer. In any case, I own a bunch of cars including 3 Deloreans, and have rebuilt a couple of old Mustang convertibles '65, and '68, and have a couple '72 VW Camper Vans, and a'70 Karmann Ghia, and now... FINALLY after looking at my Dad's '53 XK120 all my life, the one that he's had since before I was born (I'm 58). I AM GOING TO OWN A JAGUAR.... so get ready for a lot of questions because I'm a car addict.. (I think you'll all agree that's better than most other addictions). Looking forward to learning all about this Jaguar and hopefully it won't be too painful.

Welcome.

Well done.

I started that addiction with Jaguar a very long time ago, still "suffering".

Once you get addicted to cars in general, and Jaguars in particular, you're a lost cause.
But you're in Very good company here, and No One minds answering questions. Everyone has to start at the beginning sometime.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Thanks for the generous thoughts. I'll get pictures up of the XK8 as soon as it shows up at my house!

Welcome funkstuf,
My 2002 XKR got me addicted to Jaguars, but I admit, I'm an addict as well. Hopefully the car exceeds your expectations.

Welcome aboard. We're all addicts here

I drove a Delorean for the first time just a couple months ago. I liked it, an interesting car and pleasant to drive

Cheers
