Thanks to everyone...

I'll update my signature next.

My XJS only has 50,000 miles and is very pretty...I did some basic maintenance last week (my first full week with the car): oil change (0W-40 Mobile 1 synthetic) and a radiator fluid change with new, lower-temp thermos and a lower-temp auxiliary fan temp switch - plus the famous Wetter Water. The Jag is definitely running cooler - never above 1/2 before, but much better now during my short city jaunts (so far). Only problem: I must have been a little too rough with the driver's side thermo as I now have a leak in the area of my filler/reservoir tank - up high - I think it is in the hose coming from the tank. Hope I just need to tighten the clamps up today. No problem before so I hope I'm right.

Next up: replacing the Marelli distributor cap and rotor, with new wires and plugs.

The brake, power steering and transmission fluids look very clean.

I also had to free up (lube, etc.) the motor controlling the passenger rear window (convertible style). I think the previous owner very rarely lowered the convertible top. It now works fine!

Sadly, I could get no maintenance records/info other than R134 A/C conversion work done in 2007 by a Jaguar dealership.

One key (unresolved) issue detected: the center air vents push no air out - only the two side vents. I'll have to research that one more...that may be complicated.

Thanks again, Jerry
