Default New Member - Help on Oxygen Sensor 2005 Jaguar S Type 4.2L

Hello All,

I am a new member from Eagleville, PA and owner of a 2005 Jaguar S Type 4.2 L 8 cylinder 78000 miles. The check engine light has been on the car, and I was informed I need to replace upstream oxygen sensor Bank 2 sensor 1 as car would not pass inspection unless light is off. Can someone guide me the exact location of the upstream O2 sensors - I have taken off the engine shroud cover and unable to locate.

I have had a number of costly repairs and replacement so far from a transmission rebuilt, coolant tank and leaky hose replacement and want to replace get this fixed as inexpensively. Bought a Denso direct fit sensor from Autozone as dealer and a local garage was asking way too much. Thanks in advance for a response!

Thanks Graham.

I have posted this on the S Type Forum - I was hoping to get a precise location or picture of the sensor location as I was unable to physically locate this from the top of the engine. I have downloaded Workshop manual from Jagdocs for S Type - shows a pictorial diagram not the exact location.

Thanks
