Default New member, nearly new XKR owner

I am pleased to have found these forums, thank you all who make the site go every day.

I'm fairly recently retired after 32+ years with the US Forest Service. My wife and I live in rural NW Oregon, in the Cascade range, near Mt. Hood.

I have a 2000 XKR convertible, BR green with tan soft top...it had a smidge over 88k miles when I got it in July, now is closing in on 90k .

I have already benefited hugely from tips and information picked up here as a lurker, and have now gotten up the steam to join. I'm not really very experienced with on line forums, so it will no doubt take me a while to learn the ins and outs...but I'll try hard to be a good member.

Thanks again for the opportunity to learn from so many experienced Jag owners and specialists.

Let me see if I can figure out how to add a picture to this post.

Welcome to the forum Burnham,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the USA Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Thank you, Graham. I did edit my signature to provide the specifics of my XKR...but I also have tried multiple times to add a picture there as well, seems to show that it's so in my profile, but no pic in post sigs afterward. It's not a biggie, of course. Any suggestions?

Burnham,

I can't see a picture in your profile or when viewing your details in our Moderator Control Panel.

The usual issue with uploading Signature pictures is exceeding the file size limits of 500 x 100 pixels or 9.8 kB (whichever is smaller).

Send me a PM if you are still having issues uploading your preferred SigPic.

Graham
