not new but getting active
Dear all,
My name is Sven, I am 57 years old and based in West Germany in Essen, close to the Dutch border.
I love Jaguar and was very happy when I got my first one in January 2008, when it was delivered brand new according to my wishes. I have an XJ V6 Diesel, a 350, the last version of this type with the face lifting.
I would very much like to get to know how to get rid of the integrated GPS and how to integrate a new one.
I am looking forward for Jag friends with similar problems or even better with a solution.
Best wishes
Sven

Welcome to the forum Sven,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I expect you have already found your way to the tech forum but if not, follow this link XJ ( X350 & X358 ) XJ6 / XJ8 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X350 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues. Members there will also be able to advise on any better solutions to the OE GPS.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the Europe Region forum by following this link Europe - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.

No big damage, I was just leaving the parking of the company when the bike rider came with high speed and entered into the car. That's old stuff.
My cat is now 7 years old and I gave her a full check and made her really nice with a new finishing. I need to get these new pictures.
Can you tell me were to address (which forum) to find people who had the same bad experiences with the GPS than me or eventually already a way of solution. Unfortunately it is part of the board electronics and I would like to get rid of it. It is old, it calculates wrong, inbetween I work with my bike GPS.
Thank in advance
Sven

Hello Wolf,
nice to meet you here, yes all solutions, I tried three already were crap, the only way is really to get into the system and get rid of the integration of the GPS in the board computer electronics. Then I would like to integrate a new system but also on the same screen.
Maybe there will be a solution one day, maybe I get help here?.
Take care mate

If there isn't already an answer to GPS update there, start a new thread with the question.
