Hi all ,I thought i had better introduce myself as I have been asking questions of you all,I am in Victoria Australia, I have a 1981 Daimler V12 Soveriegn and a 1986 Daimler Double Six both are in nice condition ,I have been chasing the right tool kit for the 1986 and your Jose has been giving me good advice, Does anyone know if the 1981 had a tool kit as there is no place for it. It just has the jack and brace etc in the black bag in the boot, can any one say why the 1981 fuel pump is audible whilst running, Regards ,

Welcome to the forum prettydaim,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III model forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Australia - Victoria & Tasmania Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/australia-victoria-tasmania-94/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Does Anyone know if my 1981 series 3 Daimler Soveriegn V12 came out with a tool kit as there is no place for it as there is in my 1986 Dsix ,the 1981 just has a black bag with the jack/handel and brace.

It was listed. Depending on market, sometimes an option with Jaguar specification but the Daimler variants usually had one included:

(click on the image to enlarge it)

Long since categorised as 'No Longer Available' from Jaguar.

Thank you Graham, the one I just bought is the same as you have shown it has the bent type brace, but it has jaguar on the front of the case ,I notice your drawing has both motives I had thought they may have had only Jaguar on them, I notice the cam cover Daimler decal is made of the same material and exactly the same size ,could they be the very one and the same?, I also bought the larger tool kit it seems only to have an adjustable spanner added compared to the briefcase style, the larger one is 40cm x20 cm, John.

John,

There's a good chance they are the same decal. If not, here's a link to a UK aftermarket supplier of Daimler decals who may be able to supply a suitable alternative:

HighgateHouse Decals for Daimler

John,

From what I hear, a farm in Victoria could be the size of an English County so 'remote' takes on a whole new meaning!

Your SigPic isn't showing. The usual reason for this is exceeding the size limits. The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels or 9.8 KB (whichever is smaller).

John,

Many members have had problems resizing photos for their SigPic.

I've sent you an email to the address you have registered with the forum (only the Mod Team can see these). If you reply to it attaching the photo you want to use, I'll resize it for you.
