Ok, my turn! This past month my birthday wish was for a recreational ride and something I could tinker with since our Jags are in good sorts (knocks on woodgrain dash) so I picked up a little 50cc scooter trike. It had a couple thousand miles on it and was 4 years old but it would do for my needs, so I thought.
Just a little garage toy to tinker with and enjoy around the neighborhood. Well, 50cc is small even for a 2 wheel scooter with an XXL sized adult on it and the trike was even heavier than that. Too damn slow! I knew I would be holding up traffic or run over from behind.
Well, I sold the 50cc Ice Bear trike. I saw an AutoMoto for sale on my local Craigslist. It is a unique beast. Think of a cross between a sub compact car and a trike. It was a 2010 model, blue with 2700 some miles for $1950.00 The guy said it had a small oil leak and that is why so cheap. He claimed they sold for over $3K used and near $4K new.
I was interested in the tilt design for a trike that rides more like a bike and did some internet snooping. The front half tilts in corners like a bike but the 2 rear wheels stay flat and provide good traction. One of the places I found was a trike dealer a bit over an hour away. Seems they had a 2009 dealer demo with fifty miles on it. They were willing to let it go for $2K even, plus tax & title.
I took a drive today to go see it and try it out. At first it was very awkward trying it out in the small driveway at the dealership. It took some getting used to having the cabin structure lean with the seat and controls, but once up to speed faster than walking, it felt just like any other cycle.
I bought it on the spot after a nice test drive that put a grin on my face. I just have to wait for the weekend when my son can bring his truck & trailer to bring it home.

WOW a bike thread... I'm heavy into HD Shovelhead.US forum.
I got a somewhat rare bike. Total production was 665 or so of them. HD with drew the model due to pressure from civil rights groups or the government.
44 Electra Glides --- 228 Super Glides -- 350 =/- Sporters was the numbers they put out.
I have a 1977 HD Confederate Edition Super Glide. Even got a letter from HD that verifies my Vin #.
It is not stock, my only bike, a daily rider. I did paint it back to the blueish gray color and got some repop decals. Had it about 15 years.
