This car feels different than my other 2000 xk8. I guess 18 " wheels make a difference. This is a nice car but the paint is showing some wear.
I am not in a big hurry to sell so it may be around for awhile. I would like it to be adopted by a loving jaguar enthusiast. These cars all have quirks
and are worth dealing with each one. The things I have addressed are the things that should be done on these cars before they fail.
Shoot maybe I will keep it.

 

I've experienced that before with other cars: the larger unsprung weight and greater radius means we can't escape physics.

The Florida sun is harsh on paint and some colors (black, red) seem to be particularly prone to issues no matter what car make or model.

That reminds me to ask: has this always been a Florida car? After my disasterous rust experience with a northern X-Type I am gun shy about vehicles that might have seen road salt.

Well, I will save my pennies and watch this thread. After all you have done to bring it back to life (I've read your posts on the matter) I can't say I blame you if you decide to keep it. And if not, maybe I will have a chance in a few months.

I'd love to see it, but there is no sense wasting your time if I'm not in a position to pull the trigger yet.
