I have a '86 XJ6 for parts or whole car for sale. It is a complete car (right now anyway). 76,000 miles on it. Everything works but the engine.

Do you know whats going on with the engine?

 

Yes. dropped exhaust valve in number 5 cylinder. Looked in it with scope and little mark on piston. Valve is still in place.

I saw your ad in Reno c/list are you close to Reno? I don't need another Jaguar but your XJ6 does interest me.

Wish I would have seen this sooner! Haha, I'm not afraid of a dropped valve! Glad to hear it's going to a good home, it's a very clean car!

 

Fortunately it didn't actually drop a valve just stuck one. The bore scope showed the valve sill in place but stuck and slight mark in the carbon on top of the piston. will be a really nice car, I'm excited to get it. I feel really fortunate to have found a super clean one owner garaged car with very low miles.
