That code is for a lean condition on bank 2 of the engine. I would not change the O2 senor yet but first look for vacuum leaks.

My point is that when someone can easily help themself then they should do so. It makes far better use of this forum to put a bit of effort in and then if stuck post details. I still say to get jtis.

My point, Jagv8, is this is a forum for help. Sometimes we can't do a search, sometimes we can't see the wood for the trees, sometimes we are just so damned frustrated that we need a little help.

Your advice can be done without. It did not help in anyway, was not positive in anyway. JTIS is worth it either. YES I do have it.

Last I am saying on the matter.

gbdiver - Contrary to what you say, my advice produces plenty of information that should help, whereas your posting is so terse as to be virtually useless.

ajoye5 - get jtis, look up your code, and follow some or all of the steps in jtis. Failing that, do some google searches but obviously jag's own stuff is likely to be better and faster.

Well lets not delve into your past and stay with the present.

My posting is terse to the point of useless. Hmm interesting choice of words Sir. Terse certainly. Useless, at least I narrowed the search for him.

Want to get into a war on words Sir?

Default Thanks gbdiver

You were right, it was the "upstream, b bank" 02 sensor. I bought the sensor from Jaguar for $140 and paid my mechanic $40 to install it and clear the codes. Everything is good and I have driven it 75 miles since the repair. Thanks again for your assistance.

Check all the readiness monitors are shown as Complete. They just about should be after 75 miles.

You should have (pending) code P1111, too.

If they're not complete, you'll have P1000 (or an actual code).

Apart from P1000 / P1111, make sure you don't have any other DTCs. Also, as I said, that your readiness monitors are OK (flagged as complete) and that once warmed up your PCM is going CL (closed loop). Then, check the fuel trims (LTFT plus STFT on each bank) are less than about 10%.

(You won't be able to do all that without at least an entry level scanner.)

Always treat a DTC as a hint not a firm diagnosis.
