2000 S-type blows fuel pump fuse
My 2000 S-Type won't start. The fuel pump fuse was blown and I replaced it. No successful start so I had it towed to my mechanic. The car arrived with a dead battery, so the mechanic recharged the battery and attempted a start. Naturally, it started right up. The next day, my wife parked the car and when she came back, it wouldn't start. I found the fuel pump fuse had blown again and I replaced. Subsequent restarts were unsuccessful. My battery is 4 years old, but otherwise healthy. I know a lot goes on when I attempt a start - seat moves forward, starter comes on, fuel pump pumps - but I don't know if this is a contributing factor.
