New to here, first question....

Hey guys, new Jag owner here. Been looking for one for a long time and finally got a good buy on a used 2000 Stype. I build motorcycles for a living but don't like messing with cars that much so I like to ask for help. Like I said, I am brand new to Jaguar and excited about it. A couple of answers and some help every now and again will be appreciated. I have a couple of questions to get me started. First, my navigation disk is missing. I live in KY and have read stuff about people burning them and saw a couple on ebay. I know the dealer should have one, what should I expect to pay? Also, it has about 100,000 on it now. What should I be expecting(repair wise) in the near future? Thanks on advance...

Hi and welcome,
As for your Nav disk, check e-bay, someone is always selling one...bootleg or the real deal, either way if you buy from dealer expect to pay 200+ or on e-bay for 20-30 bucks

As for your repairs, expect them to be expensive and parts avialability to be scarce (most part stores don't stock jag parts)

Normal tune-up can cost as much as 1K, tire replacement, 1K, transmission replacement, 5-7K, engine replacement, 10K,
Keep in mind if you ever have these serious engine problems and need major repair, check e-bay, there is always an engine and trans up for sale...cheap!
