Another place coolant can leak
I recently experienced a slow coolant leak on my 2005 s-Type V8. After reading this thread, I assumed the problem was the overflow reservoir, but it ended up being the thermostat housing. If you don't see coolant around the hose described above, this is another likely culprit.

I usually use liquid soap for such applications. There's a tool I shoulda bought a loooonggg time ago and still don't have! I always use channel-lock pliars on those. For the really small ones like this one, have also had good success with my right-angle needle-nose.
I've attached the drain/fill procedure from JTIS.
I'd seat the hose all the way on, given they bothered to cut a little relief in the end of it for the rib on the tank....if for no other reason than it looks "finished." Push on the first bend in the hose whilst using your other hand to keep it straight along the nipple....but yeah...gotta be careful to apply axial force only, no moments allowed! even though your new one is fairly robust right now, hasn't yet started to turn to oatmeal due to exposure to the coolant. In the very end..to work, you need only the clamp engaged fully on the hose and fwd of the flare on the nipple, so if it doesn't feel right and you can get that much....roll with it.

Yeah I did see that when I clicked on the pdf file , but I'm asking does anyone including you sir. Have a pdf file for the STR regarding the drain and fill to share.

No. It is a common answer given to a lot of members.
All of the subject specific pdf's are extracts from JTIS or TSB's.
Therefore, JTIS is the canonical source. There is nothing wrong with suggesting that you refer to it.
No one is under any obligation to go out and do a custom extract when it is already in JTIS.

Fortunately for you, I had need to get back into JTIS today owing to one of the S-Types and what I thought was a simple exercise to dig out the CD, pop it in and look up what I needed, turned out to instead be a "re-load the program twice, some auxiliary program hiding on another folder, and a couple of restarts." Your fortune continues to hold as I am feeling quite charitable these days for reasons I don't care to go into, so here you are! (In future, please don't ask frivolous questions to which you already know the answer) That kind of thing is exactly why John is perfectly correct in telling you, "consult the pubs that you know have the answers"

I didn't know the answer to the question thats why I asked if someone could please share the info regarding the SC drain and fill. Since you put up the NON instructions up before I thought you could help me out or anyone else.
Thank you for attaching the SC coolant procedure pdf file, it was very thoughtful of you, didn't mean to make you go out of your way and do it. This info will surely help others to do it the correct way who own a STR
FYI.... if I had the CD and someone asked for help I would have definitely provided it for them instead of telling them to go look it up for themselves in a indirect way like JagV8 stated previously.

Yes I know about the JTIS in the FAQs and I did a search on google for the info but couldn't find it before; I'm not a newbe to this site. I'm running on MAC OSX not Windows so its not compatible unless I'm doing something wrong. Cheers.

Expansion tank
Jag S Type 3.0 - expansion tank nipple broken off. I too tried the Araldite option which lasted 4 mins. New tank ordered from 'British Parts' £82. Removed and replaced in 30 mins but be careful not to drop the quick release pin. added 5 mins of frantic hunting to the job. Great advice from the forum.

I keep getting low engine coolant sign on the dash, I am certain that the sensor is the one at fault no leak what so ever anywhere and everytime I check the level its same, I am planning on buying just the sensor as I've found some new sensor only on ebay. Only question I have for those who have knowledge in this is, can I take the coolant out of the the filler hole using a pipe and empty the tank first, then try to replace just the sensor? If yes, is it just the counter clockwise rotate and then pull down, put a new sensor back rotate clockwise, and plug the sensor clip with wires on it?
